Finding ways to meet the needs
The Institut universitaire de cardiologie et de pneumologie de Québec - Université Laval (IUCPQ, the Québec Cardiology and Respirology University Institute) Foundation's role is to promote and support the work of the Institute, whose primary mission is the health of individuals with cardiorespiratory and obesity-related diseases.
IUCPQ is much more than a hospital: we are also a world class research facility where close to 400 scientists and research professionals work hard every day to understand and demystify illnesses in order to develop better treatments.
The Foundation is a key partner in IUCPQ's success.
We are responsible for raising and administering funds in a manner respectful of donors and all involved parties. Our ultimate goal never wavers: serving the over two million residents of central and eastern Québec and New Brunswick.
The IUCPQ Foundation: Who we are
The Foundation works to support the prevention of cardiorespiratory and obesity-related diseases and promote healthy lifestyles.
- Respect for donors
- Cooperation and partnerships with stakeholders
- Quality and operational excellence
The IUCPQ Foundation was created in 2009 through the merger of two organizations—Corporation de l'Institut de cardiologie de Québec (created in 1957) and Fondation Hôpital Laval (created in 1984). The Foundation team combines the know-how born of experience with the vitality of youth.
